The first time I had Tabetomo was last year and it was amazing, 10/10 best ramen experience I've ever had. The soup was savory, rich, and so full of flavor I could've had just that soup for days on end. I went again recently and it was not nearly as good. The soup tasted very much of soy sauce and vinegar. I did like the takoya The seared mackerel was still amazing, but the tsukumen was a quality drop from the previous year. I did appreciate the service and the hot stones they provided to reheat the broth. If the quality were consistent, this place would be a 10/10 easily. I would recommend a visit here, as the atmosphere is very unique and authentic. The servers are great and cheerful, and I would come again the next time I'm in New York.

Chef Tomo once graced the kitchen at Tsujita Annex in West LA and it just wasn't the same when he left for New York. I finally made my way to his restaurant and his tsukemen was better than I remembered it. Although I didn't use one, I'm so glad the hot stone for your broth is available because I've often wished there was a way to warm the broth as it cools quickly. The service was great, the servers were welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is small, but the ramen is so good everyone finishes their meal rather quickly so you won't have to wait long.

The tonkotsu tsukemen ramen was good and enjoyed placing noodle piece by piece inside bowl/sause. It gives a different feeling of being able to eat something plain instead of your entire dish having same flavor by being inside all one bowl like the other dishes. You can manage the sauce little by little or dump ramen inside or dump some of ramen inside, a lot of flexibility which I like. The flavor of my Tonkotsu was delicious for my first ramen. The meat was tender as well. Adding some pepper in dish from the table added another layer of kick to my meal. The tonkotsu jiro ramen was a beef broth which was not for me but someone else who likes that flavor. Everything isn't for everyone. The size of both dish was worth the money and staff seem nice to their guest including me.

Ambiance (5/5): Having been to Japan, the restaurant had a classic Japanese restaurant style with bar seating onlooking the kitchen. There's a handful of floor dining tables. A decorated wall with photos and sake. It's brightly lit and not loud. Service (5/5): Since I was dining solo, I was immediately seated at the bar. The service was attentive and quick. Their menu prices on the website are out of date-- $19 vs $26 (?!) Food (4/5): I ordered the $26 tonkotsu chashu jiro tsukemen. This is a cold ramen dipping into the warm broth. This style is less common so I went this over the ramen. The broth was warm and salty with plenty of toppings, a whole soft boiled seasoned egg, *very* garlic-forward, and had a powerful umami depth. The ramen is thick and chewy; plenty portioned for me that I took half of it for leftovers. The pork slices were large and generous (2 in the broth, 2 outside it) but they were not melt-in-your-mouth texture. Nicely seasoned but can be a bit dry without dipping into the broth. Delicious, satisfying bowl! I can't wait to come back to try their ramen.

It's 3.7 to be exact. Our 2nd visit here. We both had the chashu tsukemen this time. It's a bit too heavy and salty for us. I like how their noodle was so al dente, which was so different than traditional ramen. Portion was definitely big enough to fill any adult lol.

An absolute HIDDEN GEM From the welcome greeting to the service and the ramen!!! Everything is absolutely delicious! This is already the second time I've been here! Wish I can gatekeep it from yelp but it would just be unfair to y'all!

One of the best ramen place I have ever been. And the service is so friendly and nice! The dipping noodles is really tasty. The broth of it is rich and a little bit sour since there is vinegar inside of it. Regular ramen's broth is tasty and rich also. No vinegar inside of it. Tempura and fried oysters are very crispy and juicy! The technique of making tempura is incredible. You should try! The ambiance is cozy and nice. It suitable for one person or dating couple, or even a business catchup. Super recommend everything of this restaurant: high quality and reasonable price!

AMAZING Jiro ramen spot, a must try if you love authentic ramen! Having tried Jiro style ramen in Tokyo, I've been wanting to find Jiro ramen in NYC for a while. Jiro ramen is known for its extremely rich broth, mountain high toppings, thick noodles and huge portion. And TabeRomo really delivers on all those fronts. The layout of the restaurant is chic and functional, with a wraparound bar seating, tables and booths. Service was great and the manager was personable and knowledgeable. TabeTomo located just a few blocks away from St. Marks, which is great because you're gonna wanna walk it off after having that delicious bowl of Jiro ramen!

5.0 / 5.0 Ramen restaurant in St Marks PI. Tonkotsu (pork bone) based Jiro-style ramen. The chashu pork, vegetables, and boiled egg go well with the rich soup! And the extra-thick noodles have that sticky texture that only Jiro-style ramen can have! ※You can order the noodles cooked the way you like. The staff is cheerful and friendly, and can speak both English and Japanese. Seating is available at a counter and tables, so it is easy to come in even with children! The atmosphere is more stylish than that of Japanese Ramen restaurant. You will be addicted to their Ramen! what I ordered was : ・Tonkotsu Chashu Jiro Ramen
